Buruburu Soccer Academy Sets Sights On Inua Talanta Championship Victory In Mombasa
NAIROBI, Kenya- Nairobi’s renowned youth football powerhouse, Buruburu Soccer Academy (BSA), is gearing up for fierce competition as they prepare to participate in the third edition of the Inua Talanta Championship at the Mombasa Sports Club this December.
Fresh from their impressive performance at the Rausha Kipaji football tournament in Nakuru back in August, BSA is eager to make its mark once again on the coastal city’s football scene during the tournament scheduled from December 9th to 11th, 2023.
Under the guidance of Director Dan Karani, the Eastlands-based academy has fielded teams in the Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, and 13 categories. The young athletes are brimming with confidence following their exposure to competitive play at the Nakuru event, where their skills were put to the test.
Director Dan Karani expressed his optimism, stating, “Our teams are ready for the Inua Talent Championships in Mombasa, and we are confident of a stellar performance. What sets this tournament apart is its affordability for teams, coupled with stringent measures to prevent age cheating—a prevalent issue in other competitions.”
Having participated in the Nakuru event, the academy aims to provide its young talents with an opportunity to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience in preparation for more significant competitions.
Kenn Okaka, the Chairman of Buruburu Soccer Academy and a communications and PR strategist, emphasized the academy’s commitment to continuous improvement. He stated, “We are not underestimating any team we face, but we believe our coaches have prepared our teams well. This tournament is a chance to demonstrate the resilience and talent of our players, boosted by their recent triumph in Nakuru.”
Okaka added, “Our vision is to be the leading football academy in Kenya, nurturing, developing, showcasing, exposing, and commercializing football talent. We offer a reliable pathway for players to sign with professional teams and compete in leagues locally and abroad.”
BSA prioritizes individual skill development and fostering a love for football among its young players. The academy aims to provide real-time competition experiences, allowing children to gain valuable exposure and a better understanding of the game from an early age.
Situated in Nairobi’s Eastlands area, Buruburu Soccer Academy accepts children aged seven to nineteen. The academy prides itself on its well-trained and qualified youth coaches, holding certifications from the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and CAF, as well as specialized training in child protection to ensure the well-being of its young athletes.
