Buruburu Vows To Electrify Rausha Kipaji Football Tournament In Nakuru
NAIROBI, Kenya- Nairobi’s Buruburu Soccer Academy (BSA) will for the first-time feature at the annual Rausha Kipaji tournament that is scheduled to be played at the Nakuru Athletics Club from 28th to 30th April 2023.
The BSA have vowed to light up the tournament in a way that they can in their outing at the Lakeside City.
The Academy confirmed their participation in the annual tournament as they seek to offer their young players an opportunity to showcase their talents and grow skills in a bid to prepare them for big competitions.
According to BSA Director Dancun Karani, the outfit will, for the first time, attend the tournament in readiness to engage in other high profile events that will help the charges to hone their football skills.
“We have talented young boys who need to play in such youthful competitions to enable them develop and also to offer them an opportunity to showcase their ability at an early age. This will prepare them for serious future contests,” Karani said.
“At an early age, we focus more on individual skills development to grow the children’s interest in football. We also give opportunities to the kids to experience real-time competition to gain experience at an early age and better understanding of the game,” the former AFC Leopards SC, Gor Mahia FC and Mahakama FC player underlined.
Karani is also a reputable and trained Football Kenya Federation (FKF) licensed tactician.
The BSA is a football nurturing organization that is based in Buru Buru estate in Nairobi’s Eastland area and admits children from the age of seven (7) to Nineteen (19) years.
The Academy boasts of well-trained and qualified youth coaches who have attained the FKF and CAF coaching license and certification in coaching and have also undertaken child protection courses to equip them with skills to take care of the children.
The BSA co-Director Kenn Okaka, a communications and PR strategist, said that the academy will use the tournament in Nakuru to expose the youth to competitive football and help them gain confidence to face teams from other regions.
“This tournament, just like other normal competitions we do participate in, it is an opportunity for the kids to boost their confidence as they face teams they have not encountered before and those that come from different regions from their Nairobi base locations,” Okaka said.
“Our vision is to be the leading football academy in Kenya for the young players to nurture, develop, showcase, expose, and commercialize football talent .
“We offer a reliable pathway for players to sign with professional teams and play in pro leagues both locally and abroad,” Okaka added.
