Betika Announces Sponsorship For Bingwafest 2023 Football Champions, GFE 105 FC
ELDORET, Kenya – The winning Men’s football team at the inaugural BingwaFest 2023, GFE 105 from Eldoret, has secured sponsorship from leading Kenyan bookmaker, Betika. The sponsorship comes on the back of not only impressive performances on the pitch but also exemplary organization and professionalism from the team’s technical bench as well.
This was the reason why GFE 105 FC, winners of the 2011 Safaricom National Sakata Ball Challenge, emerged victorious once more at BingwaFest, bringing them to Betika’s attention. The Football Kenya Federation Division one team, ‘105,’ as they are referred to by their legions of fans in Eldoret, is a regular giant killer, always punching above their weight. In 2013, the club beat Kenyan topflight mainstays and current table-toppers Gor Mahia 4-2 on penalties after holding them to a draw in the regulation tie at the GoTV tournament. A year later, 105 played two FKF Premier League teams, beating KRA, now Ushuru FC, on penalties once more.
