ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia- Two years ago, the idea of a new team rising from obscurity, going undefeated in Kenya, securing a slot in the Cecafa Qualifiers, and dreaming of representing the region in the CAF Championship seemed like a distant fantasy. Yet, here we are, witnessing the remarkable journey of Police Bullets FC, a team that has defied all odds.
This week’s semi-final contest between Kenyan and Tanzanian representatives was a thrilling match with high stakes. Five goals were scored in a pulsating clash at the 20,000-seater Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia today, leading to a showdown at the stadium.
Police Bullets FC ended Tanzania’s two-year dominance at the championship, dethroning 2022 winners Simba Women Club by three superb goals in a pulsating clash that set the finals stage. Emotions are running astronomically high on and off the pitch at Ethiopia’s stadium.
