Kenyan fans leave for AFCON

NAIROBI, Kenya- The ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast is attracting more Kenyans who are headed there to have a piece of the continental football showdown.
The latest group to take a flight to the West African nation is a batch of 25 fans who have left the country to have a glimpse of the breathtaking football spectacle.
The lifetime trip has been made possible through KCB Bank and National Bank of Kenya in partnership with insurance firm Old Mutual.

The spectators, who departed the country on Thursday morning for a six day fully sponsored stay in the West African country, will also visit prominent cultural sites and engage in teambuilding activities apart from viewing the live matches.
The sponsors said the trip serves as a reward for the fans, drawn from their staff members, stellar performance in the ‘Form ni AFCON’ incentive campaign for the sale of insurance policies underwritten by Old Mutual.
“We are excited to send our top sales team to Ivory Coast for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the African Cup of Nations tournament. The ‘Form ni AFCON’ campaign aimed to celebrate our high achievers with a memorable journey to AFCON and simultaneously boost insurance uptake among our clientele,” NBK Managing Director George Odhiambo underlined.
