Junior Golf Foundation Celebrates Success Of Kenyan Teams At All Africa Junior Golf Championship

NAIROBI, Kenya– The Junior Golf Foundation is thrilled to announce the outstanding performance of the Kenyan boys and girls teams at the recent All Africa Junior Golf Championship held in South Africa from April 23rd to 26th, 2024.
Despite stiff competition, the Kenyan teams showcased remarkable skill and determination, securing impressive placements in the tournament. The girls’ team clinched the 2nd position, while the boys’ team secured a commendable 4th place finish. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport.
Accompanied by their esteemed coaches, John Liefland and John Wangai, the teams represented Kenya with pride and sportsmanship throughout the championship. Their exceptional performance reflects the unwavering support and guidance provided by the Junior Golf Foundation.

The team of Boys included;
1. Krish Beiju Shah- 17 years – Muthaiga Golf Club
2. Andrew Wahome- 18 years – Nyali Golf and Country Club
3. Junaid Manji- 16 years – Muthaiga Golf Club
4. Kevin Anyien- 18 years – Golf Park, Golf Club
While the Girls Team had;
1. Chanelle Wangari – 17 years – Vetlab Sports Club
2. Bianca Ngechu – 15 years – Muthaiga Golf Club
3. Audrey Gachora – 14 years – Muthaiga Golf Club

Preparation played a crucial role in the success of the teams, as they underwent an intensive two-month training camp to hone their skills and enhance their competitive edge. The Foundation’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing them with the necessary resources and opportunities has undoubtedly contributed to this remarkable achievement.
