Children’s Home Benefits As Driver Kireev Faces Fine For Conduct Violation At East African Safari Classic Rally
NAIROBI, Kenya- Russian Evgeny Kireev has been hit with a monetary penalty by the East African Safari Classic Rally stewards for unsportsmanlike behavior towards the driver and navigator of car No. 11 yesterday at finish control CS 9.
In a stewards meeting, they received a report through the Clerk of Course with a video report showing Kireev using abusive language and hitting Car No. 11 roof during the incident.
The Stewards pointed out that respectful interaction between all parties involved during a motorsport event is imperative and misconduct in whatever shape or form cannot be tolerated.
Before the incident, Kireev and navigator Anderson in their Tuthill-prepared Porsche lying 4th and 45th after the stage and overall, respectively.
As agreed with the event organizer and the ASN the payment of the fine shall be done to the following charity Organization, Thomas Barnardo House (Kenya Children’s Home) within 48 hours of this notification.
