NAIROBI, Kenya- Nikhil Sachania is counting days to the forthcoming ARC Guru Nanak Equator Rally 2024 with great expectations, so it’s all hands-on deck to get his hand-controlled Fiesta ready for action.
Behind the scenes, excitement is building up as his technical team races against the clock.
Like a Bee in a Bonnet
And since the 30-day countdown got underway at the beginning of the month, Nikhil has been moving like a bee in a bonnet to keep his contraption in good nick ahead of the Nov 29-Dec 1 race weekend.
Nikhil: “After Rwanda, the car seems to be in good condition, but we’re not taking any chances. So, the team is preparing it as we speak. This will be our second real outing with the Fiesta and in the tougher Kenyan terrain compared to the recent Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally. Rwanda was a good test of man against the machine. We are still learning the car, so the more seat-time we get, the better it is for us. I am looking forward to the rally weekend with vim and vigor.”
Nikhil acquired his current Ford Fiesta Rally3 car – four months after he crashed his Mitsubishi Evo X during the 2024 WRC Safari Rally Kenya.
