The Finals Of Pamoja Soccer Tournament Scheduled For This Weekend
BRAMPTON, Ontario – The 2023 Pamoja Soccer Tournament Finals are scheduled for Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 4:00 PM. The tournament which aims at promoting Youth Mental Health and Well-being kicked off with fervor last weekend at SaveMax Sports Centre in Brampton. The inaugural event organized by the Kenyan Canadian Association to unite communities through the spirit of sports showcased an exciting lineup of teams competing for glory. This soccer spectacle also serves as a compelling precursor to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place in Toronto and Vancouver.
On November 11, 2023, Ivory FC (Côte d’Ivoire) faced off with Zan Heroes FC (Tanzania resulting in a riveting 5-3 victory for Tanzania. Wazalendo FC (Kenya) dominated Toronto Select FC (Uganda) with a convincing 4-2 win.
The competition intensified as Ivory FC later clashed with Wazalendo FC, with Wazalendo FC securing a 3-0 win. Zan Heroes FC faced off against Toronto Select FC, with Zan Heros securing a 3-0 victory.
The stage is now set for the third-place playoff and the highly anticipated finals at SaveMax Sports Centre on November 18, 2023. Ivory FC will compete against Toronto Select FC for the third-place title, while Wazalendo FC will face off against Zan Heroes FC in a showdown for the championship.
Distinguished guests, including Brampton’s Mayor Patrick Brown, MPs, MPPs, and City Councilors, have been extended invitations to grace the crowning moment of the tournament’s winners.
