FKF Nakuru Branch Launches Junior Youth League

NAIROBI, Kenya-Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Nakuru County Branch will launch this season’s youth Under 13 and Under 15 youth league on Saturday, 22nd April 2022.

In line with FKF’s commitment to identifying, nurturing, and exposing talents, the federation’s branch is set to unveil the youth league at Kihoto Grounds in Naivasha Sub-County of Nakuru County, a league that will see the branch seek to identify new youthful talents in the game.

FKF Nakuru branch chairman Francis Oliele noted that the federation is committed to identifying new talents and nurturing them for the development of football in the country. “We are looking forward to the launch and we want to assure Kenyans that this is just the beginning of our resolve to un-earth new young talents who are going to be the next superstars of football in this country,” Oliele said.

FKF Youth Committee Chairman Chris Amimo welcomed the launch of the youth league thanking the Nakuru branch for the initiative. “I want to laud the FKF Nakuru branch for organizing the youth league and I am sure it will go a long way in developing youth football in Nakuru and the entire country,” Amimo said. “We intend to have all the 48 FKF branches have active Under 13 and Under15 youth leagues across the country to ensure that our youth develop their talents,” Amimo added.

The launch will be heralded by matches to be played at the venue on Saturday with the first match on the cards pitting Liquid Youth fc against Teens of Hope at 10 am in the Under 13 category. The second match of the day will see Maimahiu Youth play Newhope Youth fc in an 11 am fixture in the Under15 age category.
