Darts: Stima Club Out For A Four-Peat At Uganda Open

NAIROBI, Kenya- East African champions Stima Darts Club are out for a four-peat at the forthcoming Uganda International Darts Open tournament set for Kampala on September 13-15, 2024.
During the tour, the team will also compete in the East Africa Darts Federation Inter-states Championship that will feature sides from Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the host, Uganda.
Club Manager David Songok noted during the team’s flag-off ceremony held in Nairobi that their consistency and good performance is what has solidified their reputation as the best darts club in the region.
“We are ready to defend our title in Uganda and bring the cup back home for the fourth consecutive time. The team has undergone intense training in preparation for the upcoming competitions and we are confident that we will emerge the best,” said Songok.
The Uganda competitions will be the third international outing for the Kenyan outfit this year, the club has successfully competed in high profile tournaments in Tanzania and South Africa this season.
In June, the club successfully defended its best team title for the third time at the Tanzania International Darts Open tournament that was held in Dodoma.

Before this, the team had won in the men and ladies singles categories during the Africa Darts Continental tour that was held in Cape Town, South Africa.
Stima Darts Club is sponsored by Kenya Power. The Company is keen on growing sports talent through various sponsorships under its social welfare programs. During the team’s flag-off ceremony, Club presented its recently won trophies to the sponsors.
